Ultrasound-guided acupuncture treatment of the plantar muscle showed remarkable effectiveness for chronic plantar pain lasting 2 months.

Although MRI showed no abnormalities, ultrasound diagnosis identified strong tenderness in the plantar muscle. Precise acupuncture treatment resulted in immediate pain relief, with effects lasting for 2 weeks. This approach proved more effective than hydro-release of the medial plantar nerve and is gaining attention as a new treatment method for complex plantar pain.
